About cerebraal
Cerebraal is a national patient organization established on 26 November 1992.
Cerebraal is an association that represents the interests of people after brain injury. The main goal is to break the isolation of people with acquired brain injury and their relatives.
Every year, about 50,000 Dutch are affected by brain injury. The brain can suddenly become damaged and the consequences can be serious. While the brain often recovers remarkably well, the occurrence of serious injury always involves some form of permanent brain damage. A major problem with brain injury is that the impacts are often not visible to the outside world.
