About HJARNKRAFT

Our founder was Gertrud Öste. Her husband, Bengt Öste, was working as an anchor at the News in a major TV channel when their daughter was seriously injured in a car accident. After the acute hospital care they found there was no qualified rehabilitation for people with severe acquired brain injury. Gertrud started to contact other associations for people with disabilities. One was working with people with mild acquired brain injury. Hjärnkraft started as an experience group within this association. After some years this group based Hjärnkraft, as the parents were not expected to be engaged.
